He believes that there are no short cuts to a well-prepared meal, and most of the ingredients that are gathered are from our garden at Zanziblue Beach Resort, located in Matemwe,where there i

s an edible fresh garden, that are obtained from other high-quality suppliers who have an emphasis on sustainable practices. The menu is savored, just like aspects of life. Mzee Husa, our first restaurant, opened in December 2020 at Zanziblue, a highly rated boutique resort in Matemwe. We opened the second restaurant in Stone Town in February 2022 above the historical Shangani Post Office, close to the Freddie Mercury Museum.

When you have a well-planted edible garden there is always something fresh to forage - from crest and Chinese Violet to superfood Moringa and tarty Purslane. This bounty comes straight from the flower beds at Zanziblue and onto plates at our resto. And they certainly make their way in on and onto our dishes in Stone Town too.
