Recap 1 year adventure!

Last year, around this time, the day Ramadan started was the day we moved out from the rooftop to this hidden garden.

It was another uncertainty- moving the a place that not really belong to us but we trusted Zanzibar would be kinder to us!

No doubt! Everyday passing by, we appreciate how lucky we are to find the is gem 💎 and for once more to trust on ourselves. The journey we chose is not the easiest but the most exciting.

Thank you for each one of you have been visiting and be a part of us!

This Valentine’s Day, our love ❤️ is especially for Dala Dala (Dora)

She is the most recent adopted puppy in our house. .zanzibar trusted us to take care of her and we believe that she would bring so much joy for Boda Boda, Tuk Tuk and Bajaje.

In the past 4 days, Dala Dala has been suffered from a car accident and she is still fighting for her life. This hurts not a little… we pray for her strength to be able to recover and that she will come home with us.

We have got some friends and guests offered us support, but we are still lucky enough to be able to cover the medication bill for Dala Dala. We appreciate your prayer and would like to forward your kindness to other animals which need those help more than us at the moment.

Maybe buy 1 rose less, maybe share a chocolate for the good cause of .zanzibar

Why we often ask our guests for pre-order?

Look at this Basil Mini Poke Bowl, you name how many ingredients needed to be sorted freshly, cut up on your order and not possible to pre-cooked and keep in fridge/freezer to reheat upon order.

We also try to manage as much as possible food wastage- not only the cost - but also for our Mother Earth and community sensitive.

We choose harder way to do our job but it nourishes our mind to do so as Restaurant owners and Chefs.

By pre-order and patiently waiting for your meal, you help us doing our job mindfully.

This Saturday at Basil, we’re welcoming two wonderful humans — Marco & Jabell, flying in all the way from Italy — to share their warm, earthy Afro-Jazz vibes with our little corner of Paje.

Their music carries friendship, freedom, and a rhythm that feels like sunset by the ocean.
And in the kitchen, we’ll be serving a special ramen crafted just for this night… cozy, aromatic, and made to be enjoyed slowly, with good company.
