From 1-6 September, join our friend, the world-class guitarist Leon Michael King (UK) at our new project, the artist residency Meraki in Testa Dell'Acqua (Noto), in the beautiful Hyblean hills in South East Sicily.

We met him when he performed with Joss Stone at our Red Monkey Lodge Zanzibar (seems a lifetime ago - google 'Joss Stone Zanzibar' for a great video with Ashimba), and since then we've done lots of great projects together i various countries.

Think masterclasses, private lessons, jam sessions, great food and wine in stunning nature in Sicily :)

This isn’t a formal “course” or a high-pressure bootcamp. It’s a creative, social, music-first retreat built around learning through playing, jamming with others, and reconnecting with your instrument in a beautiful, distraction-free environment.

Hi old friends — many of you have been asking Kristine and me what we’ve been up to.

Well, after some big changes in our lives, we are fully back on track and immersed in a beautiful project in Sicily: Meraki Testa Dell'Acqua, an artist residency in the southeast of the island.

We have a few rooms for guests and are ready to host, there are packages available on our crowdfunding campaign!

In short: come visit us in Sicily for some Red Monkey Lodge–Zanzibar–style hospitality — on another island.

OR support the project by adopting a tree or purchasing some merchandise :)

Our goal is to make Meraki a more open, flexible, and nurturing place for our community and visitors

is our new project: an artist residency space in the village of Testa Dell'Acqua (Noto).

We are based in South East Sicily) and are launching a crowdfunding campaign to improve some common spaces. We offer amazing perks ranging from merchandise to private cinema screenings, exclusive sundowner cocktails up to week long stays with us in Sicily!
