We were so thrilled when we found out that the amazing Peter Shepperd of FAME TT was intrigued about us that we invited him over for lunch!
He's such a witty, friendly, warm person and we can't thank him enough for stopping by, giving us a couple laughs and trying somewhere "new".
His genuine love for our food made us extremely proud and we can't wait to see him and the gang next week when our full delicious menu launches!
Cheers Peter! :)
Prominently positioned at the intersection of the Eastern Main Road and Orange Grove Road, The Rush Sports Bar has just opened their brand new restaurant called 'Skilletz"
When FAME TT visited for lunch during Trinidad & Tobago Restaurant Week , I found a busy dining room with customers taking advantage of their Restaurant Week offer. Which is a "Savoury $200.00" Pre fix menu.
Lunch was served in the informal sports bar section, but, there is a dining room on the upper floor where dinner is also served and there is also an outdoor balcony with seating overlooking the park opposite and church.
The service was warm , inviting and efficient and the meal was well portioned, well presented and tasted very good. I happened to recognise the two young chefs and I have no doubt that there are good things to come out of this restaurant which is just a week old.
I've attached some photos to demonstrate my experience at Skilletz. Be sure to read the captions associated with the photos.
So whenever you are in the area (East) this is a short detour off the highway in either direction, North on the Orange grove Road towards Eastern Main Road and its straight ahead of you at the junction of the Eatsern Main Road. Cannot miss it. Great for on the road businees lunch or dinner if your in that are or looking for something out of town.
