❤️ Happy Tuesday everyone — a new week, a fresh start, and for our girl Rosie, it truly is.
Rosie was finally well enough to be spayed last week, and by the weekend she made it very clear she’d had enough of her vet cage… by howling at us 🤦🏼♀️. So off she went to HARP, where Hakan reports she has settled beautifully. She’s happy, social, friendly, and absolutely loving being around other dogs again. Now all she needs is a home of her own 🏡. If you think you could offer Rosie a safe landing, please reach out — she is ready for her next chapter.
During her intensive treatment stay, Rosie had an X‑ray which revealed something truly heartbreaking — she has gunshot pellets and shrapnel in her body. How could anyone be so cruel. The vet confirmed they cannot be removed and have now formed old internal scar tissue. They don’t bother her anymore, but bless your heart Rosie ❤️ safe now girl, for the rest of your days. On a positive note, the vet estimates she is only around 5 years old, meaning she has many happy years ahead of her.
We are still fundraising for her travel to the UK, where she already has a foster offer waiting.

🐾 About Rufus — Our Delicate Mission
We know we’ve been quiet about Rufus, and we’re sorry — the situation is extremely sensitive. We do have a plan with HARP, and we are waiting for Hakan to be available to make the journey to negotiate Rufus’s handover. If anyone can do it, it’s Hakan.
Rufus will also need a foster offer or ideally a home offer. If you are genuinely interested, please contact the page privately. We can’t share details publicly yet, but we can discuss everything offline. If we cannot get Rufus, the funds raised for him will be transferred to Rosie’s travel.

🐈⬛ The Cats — A Quick Recap
The cat situation changed rapidly. We fundraised for 3, but it turned out to be 4 🤦🏼♀️. They were too poorly to go to HARP and needed urgent vet care, resulting in a £1,200+ vet bill. Mummy cat also needed to be spayed, and transporting them nearly 7 hours to Rose cost £375. The remaining funds have gone to Rose to cover their follow‑up vaccinations and food while she finds them homes. It wasn’t the plan, but their condition left us no choice.

🐕 Why Rose Has So Many Animals
People often ask why Rose has so many dogs. The truth is heartbreaking. Three years ago, when she ran a café, English holidaymakers asked locals for help with a starving mum and pups they’d been feeding in their holiday home garden. They were returning to the UK and couldn’t find anywhere safe for them — so Rose stepped in.
She found homes for three and still has the remaining three today. She never uses the word “dumped,” but that’s what happened — and she refused to abandon them. She still refuses.
And the reality is this: if Rose cannot find homes for the animals she rescues, her only “options” would be to return them to the street or hand them into the local pound. Neither is an option. Both routes are, quite frankly, a death sentence in Turkey right now. She will not do that to them. So she keeps them safe, fed, and loved — even when it stretches her to her limits.
Unless adopted abroad, the chances of dogs in Turkey finding homes are painfully low. Rose does everything she can to keep them safe while studying for a better future for all of them.

🌟 How You Can Support Rose Directly
Alongside everything she does for her own rescues, Rose continues to feed street animals every single day — she just can’t help herself. For anyone who wants to support her ongoing work with a small monthly donation, we have set up a BuyMeACoffee where you can join her Support Circle and help keep her animals safe and her street‑feeding mission going.

🌟 What YOU Have Achieved
Because of Rose’s bravery — and your support — mum and puppies have a home 🏡, Rosie has a foster offer 🏡, the cats are safe, treated, and with Rose, and we are preparing to help Rufus. We continue searching for homes for Rosie, the cats, and hopefully Rufus too.
Our GoFundMe remains open while we navigate this delicate situation, so please keep sharing for us. We haven’t had a donation in nearly a week and we are panicking a little about how we are going to fully fund the last two dogs at the rate things have slowed down.
Once we know whether we are fundraising for Rosie only or Rosie and Rufus, we will likely create a dedicated travel fundraiser so people understand exactly what is still needed.
None of this would have been possible without you.
Thank you — truly — you have hearts of gold.
And finally… some pics of the puppies to end on a happy note — they are just so joyful. They are thriving there! 🐶💛
