Today is finally the big day for Phuket and . A lot rides on the working. Starting from today, fully vaccinated International travellers can enter the country without doing quarantine by flying direct to Phuket. I know there’s still a lot of hoops to jump through, but as the borders are officially closed, people still need to apply for a Certificate of Entry.

Once things improve a bit more, some of the restrictions will be eased and it will become simpler to come here. Please be patient. For this to work, baby steps are needed. Let’s hope this leads to other destinations opening up over the next few months and eventually the reopening of the international borders and the lifting of all restrictions.

IMPORTANT: If you’re in you should be aware that starting Monday swimming pools, parks, fitness centers, amusement parks, beauty clinics, cinemas, rollerblading parks, etc are closed. No events with more than 20 people allowed. You also must wear a mask or be fined. But no curfew. In total there are 31 new businesses that must close for two weeks. More details soon.

7. Game shop or Internet cafe

13. Nursery
14. Places to care for the elderly
15. Boxing Stadium, Boxing School
16. School of martial arts
17. Tattoo parlours
18. Institute of dance
19. Horse field
20. Amulet shops
21. Weight control clinic, beauty salons
22. Health establishments, Thai massage, Foot massage
23. All kinds of competition grounds
24. Entertainment venues

26. The opening of shopping mall 11:00am-9:00pm
27: Beauty salons, hairdressers, can open but no-one can wait inside
