It is with great sadness that Maya announces that the Cafe will close on 30th April 2025.
We would like to thank all our friends & customers for the support over the last 11 yrs.
We wish you all good health & happiness for the future.

ADVANCE NOTICE.
Please note that due to a major family celebration.
The Cafe will be closed from Wednesday 2nd April until Saturday5th April inclusive.
Re open Sunday 6th April as usual.

An update.
The local Authority Workmen have not completed the work on schedule.
However we can now state that the Cafe and Bar are OPEN as normal.

We have been informed by the local Authority that the work being carried out at the front of the Cafe, will last for another 3 days.
As we are unable to trade whilst
they are working.
The Cafe will remain closed until the work is completed.
Sorry for any inconvenience.

But the local authority workmen have not completed the task today.
Hence they inform us that they will continue in the morning.
This means it is impossible to open.
Will update on progress tomorrow.

This time last year we where surprised and delighted to find a Yellow Vented Bulbul had biult a nest in one if the lampshades in the cafe.
Even more so when she & her mate raised 3 broods of healthy chicks.
We are delighted to say she has returned this year to the same location.
Fingers crossed for her.
She sits completely unfazed by the staff and customers passing beneath her.
Even the light going on and off she ignores.

I would like to thank Bert Elson and all his staff at the Tropical Restuarant for an absolutely beautiful Christmas Dinner.
So full We could not manage the Mince Pie delicious as it looked.
