The star of our menu: our signature BBQ Ribs.

We do things properly at Happy Wok. We start by slow braising the pork until it is melt in the mouth soft, then hit it with a high heat char on the grill. The final step is basting it in our house made sauce, a sticky, sweet and smoky mix of 13 spices we have spent a long time perfecting.
It is the kind of food that gets messy, and that is how it should be.

Stop by the restaurant to have them hot off the grill, or get them delivered via Grab when you want a proper meal without the work.

We have a confession to make…

We’ve got a regular here at Happy Wok. Never misses a visit. Always hanging around at collection time. Loves the smell of our kitchen.

There’s just one small problem - he always walks off after eating and “forgets” to pay!!

Everybody, meet Nam Taan (น้ำตาล) Our most loyal - and most broke - customer. 😂

That crunch you hear? It’s completely real.

This is our signature aromatic crispy duck. We marinate it for 24 hours and slow-cook it until tender, finished with a high-heat fry for that ultimate crispy skin. Because of the time it takes, we only prepare limited portions daily to ensure maximum freshness.

Enjoy it the traditional way with fresh cucumber, spring onions, hoisin, and warm pancakes.

Available for dine in, takeaway, or via Grab.

Special bonus: If you visit the restaurant or pick up a takeaway, we’ll include our exclusive Homemade Chilli Jam alongside the hoisin as a little thank you. It’s sweet, savoury, and pairs beautifully with the duck.

Ever wondered why Happy Wok’s fried rice just tastes… different?

We’ve lost count of how many times customers have asked: ‘What makes your food taste so good?

The honest answer? Cooking isn’t just our job - it’s been our way of life for decades. We’ve put our heart and soul into every plate that leaves this kitchen.

But there’s also a secret weapon behind the scenes.

Most kitchens in Thailand cook on standard gas burners. We didn’t want “standard” - so we imported a serious wok burner. We’re talking 120,000 BTU, 45kW, and flames hitting nearly 800°C.

Why does that matter? At that kind of heat, ingredients hit the wok and sear almost instantly - locking in flavour, keeping vegetables crisp, and creating that smoky, charred aroma chefs call “wok hei” (鑊氣). It’s the difference between food that’s just cooked and food that’s been kissed by fire.

Every single dish - especially our fried rice - gets the full power of that flame. That’s the Happy Wok difference.

Happy Wok is opening later than usual this Thursday as we will be attending a funeral for a couple of friends who died suddenly this week. The restaurant will be open for both dine in and takeaway orders from 5pm. We appreciate your understanding and will see you Thursday evening.

Over forty portions in three days

We added General Tso’s Chicken to the menu just three days ago, mostly to see how it would go.

To our complete surprise, we have already served over forty portions. Seeing the plates flying out of the kitchen, and watching Anthony see firsthand how well it is going, it is clear why this dish is hitting the mark!

There is often a bit of debate about where this dish actually comes from. While we specialise in the British style of Chinese food, General Tso’s is technically a Chinese-American classic. It is famous for being that quintessential comfort food, and it seems to have found a very welcome home here.

Why it seems to be hitting the mark

The sauce: It has a really nice balance of sweet and savoury that just works.

The heat level: There is a tiny touch of spice right at the end, just a gentle warmth rather than anything sharp.

The texture: We toss the crispy chicken and fresh vegetables in a very hot wok, which gives it that distinct smoky aroma while keeping everything crisp.

It is a genuinely comforting dish, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who has given it a try over the last few days.

From Our Living Room to Your Favorite Table: The Happy Wok Journey

It all started in December 2023 with a simple, cozy idea. My husband and I wanted to share something truly special with the world, his stepfather’s secret, time honored Chinese recipes. Food had always been our family’s love language, so we decided to open a tiny home delivery kitchen on Grab, just to see if others would love those flavors as much as we did.

We never expected what happened next.
Within a few months, our little home kitchen wasn't just a delivery spot anymore. Regular customers started knocking on our door to pick up their food in person. By mid 2024, our amazing regulars encouraged us to take a leap of faith, leading us to serve our dishes at a local venue where people could finally sit down and enjoy them together.

Fast forward to February 2025, Happy Wok found its true home, right opposite Hua Hin Nong Khon School on Route 3218.

We never like to say our food is the best, we believe that's for you to decide, not us. But every single dish is made with absolute heart. Today, Happy Wok isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a place where customers become close friends, and friends become family.
