🔥Raclette, schweizarnas fredagsmys

🇨🇭 Godast i Schweiz?

🔥🇨🇭🔥🇨🇭🔥🇨🇭🔥🇨🇭🔥🇨🇭🔥🇨🇭🔥🇨🇭🔥🇨🇭🔥🇨🇭🔥

🔥The best in Switzerland? Our Raclette Classic has won the award for best Raclette Suisse six times.

According to legend, the meal raclette originated in the Swiss Alps when an old shepherd accidentally placed his cheese too close to the fire. In an attempt to salvage what he could, he scraped the melted remains onto a slice of bread and was surprised to discover that it tasted heavenly – raclette was born (the word “racler” means “to scrape”). Today, raclette is a favorite Friday night tradition for the Swiss, often enjoyed with fingerling potatoes, pickled onions, cornichons, and some cold cuts. And what’s in the glasses? Kirsch, of course!

Did you know that Switzerland is the only country in the world where all cheese producers have voluntarily given up the use of E-numbers, surface treatments, and colorants? This means you can enjoy your raclette from Terroir Suisse with a clear conscience – including the rind. That’s the tastiest way to have it.

Alpine cattle descent this morning from Alp Arni Stalden via Engelberg towards Oberdorf 🐄🌻🇨🇭

🇨🇭 Autumn is here, and the centuries-old tradition of Alpabfahrt – or Désalpe – begins. It’s time for the cows to leave the rich alpine pastures high in the mountains and make their way down to the milder climate and warm barns of the valley.

At Terroir Suisse, we want to share the feeling and knowledge of culinary Switzerland – the people, traditions and landscapes that make it so unique.

🇨🇭🧀 Kär i Gruyère – möt Benoît Kolly!

🇨🇭🧀 In Love with Gruyère – Meet Benoît Kolly!

Behind every great cheese is a passionate cheesemaker. In the heart of Gruyère, we find Benoît Kolly and his Laiterie du Mouret, where exceptional milk is transformed into cheese with passion and genuine craftsmanship.

Every morning and evening, 365 days a year, fresh milk of the highest quality is delivered from local dairy farmers, never more than 20 km away. The close connection between farmers, cheesemaker and the local terroir is where the magic begins.

Our Le Gruyère AOP Doux is the youngest member of our Gruyère family. But don’t let its age fool you! After just 6 months of affinage, it has already developed a rich flavour with gentle sweetness, delicate nutty notes and a wonderfully creamy texture.

A perfect example of how exceptional raw milk and skilled craftsmanship create a cheese full of character – even with a shorter maturation period.

❤️ In Love with Gruyère – selected for you by Terroir Suisse.

The Swiss Alps Vallée de Joux in the canton of Vaud are the birthplace of one of the most anticipated cheeses of winter, Vacherin Mont-d’Or. The milk from the high alpine landscape is used for most of the year to produce the famous Le Gruyère d’Alpage AOP. However, as the milk composition changes in the fall and becomes scarcer, the production shifts. The richer and fattier milk is then used to make one of the region’s most beloved seasonal cheeses. What makes the Swiss version so special?
