The Embassy expresses its support to Kanto Bistro x Merkado PH and Taza Artisan Café for promoting Filipino food and culture at the Street Food Festivalen. Kanto x Merkado and Taza will be whipping out Filipino favorite dishes from 24 to 25 July 2026 at Norra Hammarbyhammen, together with some of Sweden’s best food trucks.

Seeing Filipino words like Kumusta, Pagkaibigan, Ikaw at Ako, Magpakailanman and Mahal Kita become part of a major international film moment feels incredibly meaningful.

Autumn may be around the corner but the smell of tropical Filipino food is unmistakable at Kanto Bistro. 😋

Ambassador Patrick Chuasoto enjoyed the sumptuous tapa (cured beef) and bulalo (beef shank soup) at the Filipino restaurant which has made its mark in Stockholm’s food scene.

Kanto Bistro is owned by Chef Elle Philips, and located at the popular Rörstrandsgatan known as Vasastan’s most vibrant food street. You won’t miss it with the Philippine flag proudly poised outside! 🇵🇭

Last night’s Kanto spread for a very special 18th birthday celebration. A table filled with Filipino favourites, made for sharing, celebrating, and going back for seconds (and thirds). 🇵🇭

There’s something we love about being part of these milestones. Good food, family and friends around one table, and a whole new chapter ahead.
