Thank you to everyone who joined us during our opening week.

After many months of planning, building, problem-solving, and anticipation, it has been incredibly rewarding to finally welcome guests through our doors. We are grateful for the support, patience, kind words, and feedback we have received so far.

KOBA is still at the beginning of its journey, and we look forward to continuing to learn, evolve, and share many more evenings with you.

From all of us at KOBA, arigato!

Our design language begins with wabi-sabi.

In Japanese design culture, wabi-sabi is the appreciation of time — of texture, wear, and the beauty found in what isn’t perfectly new.

We’re building KOBA Lounge with respect for what came before. Rather than hiding history, we aim to let it show through materials, light, and honest details.

We are currently in the build stage.

More soon.

Adelgatan 4 has a history.

For decades, this address was home to Tunneln — a space many Malmö nights still remember.

KOBA Lounge has now found its home here.

With deep respect for what came before, we are reimagining the space into a new setting for celebration — in our own contemporary Japanese way.

Were you part of the Tunneln era? Share a memory below.
