Tarsia.
The tabletop is divided into four sections, each rotated 90 degrees so the grain runs perpendicular to the one beside it.

It’s a subtle reference to Cargo, which is visually divided into four parts by the bands that cross the sofa. Same logic, different object.

A system shouldn’t lock things in place.
It should allow things to change.

Early thinking for Evergreen questioned the idea of fixed solutions and instead looked at how products can evolve with their environment.

Hard shape.
Soft body.

Cargo started as a cube...
But how do you give a cube identity?
How do you make a cube feel soft and inviting?

That tension is really what design is.
You begin with logic. Then you adjust proportions, soften edges, tune the transitions.

I think good design isn’t about escaping that structure.
It’s about making structure human, inviting and playful. Might sound contradictory, but Cargo is a good example that it works!

Cargo designed for:

Details tell the real story.
Where grip, balance and material meet, intent becomes tangible. A closer look at what happens when shared principles are taking physical shape!
