Last call for the summer! ☀️come by tomorrow Friday anytime 11:00-16:00 to get your taco fix on our final day open for the season! Currently exploring ideas for some year-round action as well so stay tuned here for further happenings in our little kiosk 💡

Meanwhile I’d like to extend a warm THANK YOU to the multi-talented Peter Garner, who lit up the cafe with his cocktails on Sunday night. The proceeds are going to Peter’s chosen charity: Operation Aid, which for three years has supported refugees and children in Ukraine, including caring for and evacuating the wounded with its own ambulances. Peter is also the creator of the colorful art currently on display at the cafe, with a coming exhibition in Stockholm. Check out to see more of his creative works.

I have been on the lookout for a home since opening the cafe five years ago. This weekend the dream became a reality. Vilket paradis! Jag älskar Gotland av hela mitt hjärta!

Now there are boxes to unpack before the café soon opens again, daily 11-16, closed Tuesdays. And this year we will be open extra certain evenings! More news to follow. See you starting Wednesday 9 July!

Olof: I was born in the same place I live today. My family has been here for 7 or 8 generations.

Birgit: I came from the mainland in 1975.

Describe Cafe Here & Now in one sentence.

Great music, nice owner, tasty fika.

What are your favorite items on the menu?

Cappuccinos with a side of Gute Glass.

What makes the cafe special for you?

It’s cool to have this kind of menu in Havdhem! Different from regular Swedish cafes.

What’s your dream for what the cafe could become?

A place to have a glass of wine in the evening— then we could take our bicycles and sit awhile.

What a fine “födelsedagafton” I came home with a birthday crown, but the best gift is being part of this community.
