Offline Café

Offline Café A cozy board game café for families and friends to spend quality time together ☕️🎲✨ This is due to potential customer allergies.

Tuesday - Friday: 17:00 - 22:00
Saturday: 14 - 22:00

We also host special weekly events, including chess nights, social mixers, and tournaments—there’s always something exciting happening! Ground Rules

☕ No Outside Food & D

rink Allowed (except water): Your purchases of our food and drinks directly support our business and keep us open!

However, we may make exceptions for well-behaved younger children (typically ages 10 - 11) who love board games and can remain calm throughout their stay.

Cold rainy days in June aren’t exactly unusual in Gothenburg 🌧️☕🎲

Today turned out to be one of our busiest days this month, as many of you came in to escape the weather and spend the day indoors with games, hot chocolates, and fika.

There were social favorites like Codenames and Wavelength to more strategic games like Calico and Everdell on the tables. We also had a board game designer in the café playtesting a prototype survival game and gathering feedback throughout the day.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by and filled the café with life today ❤️

Our World History Quiz Night attracted quite a few history buffs tonight! 🌍📜

It turned out to be a very tight race, with teams correctly answering some surprisingly obscure history questions that we thought might stump almost everyone.

After 50 questions covering historical events, figures, empires, and fascinating facts from around the world, the team Mölndal Communist Party emerged victorious and claimed 1st place! 🏆

A big thank you to everyone who joined us for an evening of friendly competition and historical trivia!

Our chess tournament ended up becoming a small chess competition tonight, but that didn’t make it any less intense! ♟️

After 3 hard-fought rounds, Narendiran claimed 1st place, followed by Jesper in 2nd.

A big thank you to all four players who participated and made for an enjoyable evening of strategy, concentration, and friendly competition.

We’ll be taking a break from chess events over the summer, but we expect them to return in the autumn/winter season. Thanks to everyone who joined us this year, and we look forward to seeing you at the next competition!

❤️ Sunday Fundraiser Update ❤️

Two days ago, we launched our community support campaign to help keep Offline Café open through the summer while we work on finding a long-term solution.

We’re incredibly grateful for the response so far. Thanks to your donations and shares, we’ve already reached 4% of our goal! Every contribution helps ease some of the pressure and gives us a little more time to keep moving forward.

We’re still a long way from where we need to be, but we’re thankful for every person who has chosen to support us.

If you’d like to contribute, the GoFundMe link is pinned at the top of our page. Every donation, no matter the size, helps.

Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, visited the café, and supported us over the past year 🙂

📢 Community Update from Offline Café

We normally try to keep things positive on social media, but we wanted to be honest with everyone about where things stand.

As many of you know, we opened less than a year ago with the goal of creating a welcoming community space for board games, events, and meeting new people. Since then, we've hosted dozens of events, built friendships, worked with organizers, and watched a wonderful community begin to grow.

Unfortunately, this summer has been much tougher than we expected.

When we opened last year, we were able to cover our costs and continue expanding during the winter. However, as a new business, we didn't have enough time to build a financial buffer before entering the slower summer season. Over the last couple of months, we have been covering rent and operating expenses out of our own pockets just to keep the doors open.

We're still fighting for the cafe. We're exploring partnerships, venue rentals, new revenue streams, and potential buyers or investors who can help carry the business forward. We don’t usually ask for help like this — we’re not the type to look for handouts. We’re doing everything we can to make this work.

At the same time, many people have asked how they can help.

So we're launching a community support campaign.

Our goal is to raise 50,000 kr to help us cover rent and operating costs through the summer. If we reach our goal, we'll celebrate by hosting one week of FREE community board gaming (no 55 kr entry) as a thank-you to everyone who helped keep Offline Café going.

If Offline Café has ever given you a fun evening, introduced you to new friends, helped you discover a new hobby, or simply given you a place to relax, we'd be incredibly grateful for your support. Any amount helps, whether it’s 20, 50, 100 kr or more — it all really makes a difference.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. It means more than you know ❤️
