We are very glad and excited these two crossed our path! Pieter-Jan and Delphine - also from Belgium - will be the hosts from the coming summer! We have a very good feeling about this, they will do an excellent job in making you feel welcome and at ease in no time!

They were here visiting us in the midst of a real winter week! Cold and snowy!

The nice thing about cross country skiing is that you can look around and enjoy the winter landscape and be amazed by the spectacular views and colours of the winter!

After some week of snowing, we received some time-out. 😅
Now we can really clear some paths and enjoy the winter! A stunning day with -15°C!

Wow. After storm Johannes, which we pulled ourselves through unscathed, we were visited by storm Anna, which brought us snow! ❄ Lots of it!

In 24 hours, we got piles of snow around the hotel which we usually get in weeks of snowing! All very fluffy snow, luckily... ranging from coconut flakes on top to meringue below. 😄 Enough to fill the days with shovelling!

Tomorrow, we celebrate the longest night of the year, midwinter solstice. That means, in half a year, we celebrate Midsummer!

So we thought it is the perfect moment to talk about our Midsummer Celebrations package here at Stilleben! The experience to join Midsummers Eve, here in our little village is unforgettable. A truly great memory, to join this traditional feast in the midst of Sweden! And lets not forget all the great midsummer dinner classics we serve in the evening on the terrace, made with great ingredients from our local producers!

In the forests around our village, there's a lonely old cabin. And if you visit the cabin in winter, you experience another kind of silence and peace...
