When's the best time to trek?

Short answer: any month works.

Longer answer — Rwanda's dry seasons (June–September and December–February) mean easier trails and drier gorilla encounters, while the quieter rainy months (March–May, October–November) bring greener forest, fewer trekkers on the trail, and sometimes better availability on permits.
