Statiunea Sovata s-a format în jurul unui lac heliotermic

, Lacul Ursu ( foarte placut pentru baie ). Apele sale si namolul sapropelic sunt faimoase pentru proprietatile terapeutice si sunt recomandate persoanelor cu afectiuni ginecologice sau reumatice. Datorita acestor proprietati, lacul este unic în Europa si totodata, cel mai mare de acest fel din lume. Orasul Sovata dispune de vile vechi, frumoase din lemn, o multime de terase si minimagazine pe timp de vara. Sovata are propria pârtie de schi cu telescaun. De la hotel puteti face excursii minunate în Carpati. PRAID
În apropiere de oras, la Praid, se gaseste salina de sare care este deschisa pentru turisti si are o parte separata care este folosita ca sanatoriu subteran pentru pacienti cu probleme astmatice. CORUND
La circa 20 de minute de statiune se afla satul Corund, vestit datorita ceramicii si lucrarilor sculptate în lemn care se executa aici.
