We spend most days working with coffee. Today, we gave ourselves a little more time to enjoy talking about it.

🤍 International Coffee Day,
with our partners at the Roastery.

Mihai had just returned from Colombia and Peru, so we started there - with stories from the farms, things he had tasted along the way and a few coffees worth putting on the cupping table:

Colombia. Peru. Ethiopia.
And the first taste of this year’s Winter Blend.

Then came the Coffee Peers Throwdown.
A fun competition focused on sensory skills,
latte art and recipe calibration.
A rather good combination of things to care about
if coffee happens to be your daily occupation.😌

There were exciting prizes.
There was concentration.
There were a few very serious decisions
being made over very small cups.

Mostly, there was a room full of our partners, spending a day around coffee.
We like that.

One Joyful International Coffee Day, indeed. ™️

There is a great deal of precision
behind a little drawing in your coffee.😌

Today’s Decaf Latte Art Masterclass
took us through the essentials of milk texturing,
from temperature and pitcher control
to pouring technique.

Between pours, we explored two decaf origins
as espresso, milk beverages and brew,
paying attention to the different ways
each preparation reveals the coffee.
