During his early teenage years, It is purely by God's will that he met Haji Mohammad Yusuf, an undeniable master of Mughlai cuisine. Haji Banda Hasan was a great apprentice and quickly learned to make kebabs, tikkas and other Mughlai dishes from his Ustad. This phase of acquiring knowledge from the greatest master has certainly been one huge turning point of his great gastronomic journey of life, which is being spread by Saleem Javed, throughout the world. In the early 1970s, Haji Banda Hasan ran a stall at a fair at Pragati Maidan, Delhi. That is where he was met by Mr. Khanna, the owner of Alfina Restaurant. Khanna was shaken by Haji Saab's food and offered him a stall in Khan Market. That single invitation by Khanna Saab is a huge milestone. Haji Saab started selling mutton seekh kebab and chicken tikka at Khan Market and the rest is history. Saleem Javed is not just another Mughlai food chain.
