Já se ouvem os sinos, o tilintar!
Mas não,
(ainda) não é o seu prato favorito a chegar.
Por agora é ele,
o velhote das barbas brancas que se vem a aproximar.
E já se sente o calor, o cintilar!
Mas não,
(ainda) não é a brasa da grelha a fumegar.
Por agora são elas, as velas,
a chama que aquece e que o espírito natalício vem anunciar.

E é também assim, aqui,
através desta carta que não vem com a ementa
mas com os nossos Desejos de Boas Festas,
que lhe desejamos uma mesa cheia.
Cheia de tudo o que desejar e de tudo quanto o seu apetite devorar.
Por isso devore com precaução!
Mas devore muita alegria, muito amor
e muitas histórias daquelas que são contadas e recontadas,
ano após ano,
à mesa, juntos!

but with our Best Wishes for the festive season,
this is how we wish you a full and rich table.
Full of anything you want and everything your appetite can devour.

around the table, all together!
