Anya has been a DJ since 2006, a record collector, radio host, curator of music festivals (including RBMA), and booker with over 20 years of experience.
She has been living in Lisbon for the past four years, seamlessly integrating into the local music scene and performing at top venues. Anya’s taste spans a wide range of genres, but the central element she seeks is an inherent positive feeling — music that puts a smile on your face! However, her primary focus over the years has been on dance music — rare disco, underground house, new productions, and hidden gems with a global perspective.
Alongside her solo DJ career, Anya is one half of Javybz, a deep-digging DJ duo with Julia. She is constantly searching for new and exciting music, which she regularly showcases on her monthly NTS Radio show, All Styles All Smiles with Javybz, a program she has proudly co-hosted for the past thirteen years. The show has featured guests such as Floating Points, Larry Heard, Antal, Rainbow Disco Club, Laraaji, Gigi Masin, The Zenmenn, Andras, Mafalda, Domenique Dumont, Dazion, Ariel Kalma, Hunee, Lipelis, Kyle Hall, Mad Professor, Leroy Burgess, Laraaji and many more.
