English Stand Up Comedy - PHIL KAY - Live in Braga
One last comedy adventure before the year is out!
Braga, it’s time to get a little weird. 🤪
Prepare for beautiful chaos as comedy legend Phil Kay brings his wonderfully weird world to Alma do Raio!
For our final tour of the year, we’re bringing you a true comedy original: Phil Kay, the legendary Scottish storyteller, master of freeform mirth, and one of the most gloriously unpredictable performers on the comedy circuit.
Described by The Scotsman as “unbeatable” when he’s on form, Phil is a comedian who doesn’t just tell jokes — he becomes them. Expect a beautiful mess of daft anecdotes, outrageous adventures, spontaneous silliness, cracking conceptual one-liners and songs made up on the spot. No two shows are quite the same, and absolutely anything could happen.
From bizarre encounters around the world to wonderfully twisted observations about everyday life, Phil’s comedy is a wild ride powered by imagination, mischief and an almost supernatural ability to turn a story into a full-blown performance.
And here’s the best part: you don’t need to catch every word to catch the madness. Phil is a physical, animated, wildly expressive performer who brings his stories to life with his entire body. Even if English isn’t your first language, there’s plenty to see, feel and laugh at. His energy is infectious, his delivery is unmistakable, and sitting still might be the hardest part of the evening.
As The Times noted, Phil was doing storytelling in stand-up long before it became a recognized genre. He’s an original in the truest sense — eccentric, fearless and gloriously difficult to predict.
And because no great comedy night should travel alone, we’ll be joined by wonderful opening acts bringing their own flavor, surprises and a little extra sparkle to the mix. Think of them as the cherry on top of an already wonderfully unhinged pastry. 🍒
So, Braga, let’s finish the year with a bang, a belly laugh and possibly a song nobody saw coming.
