Hotel Update!

The hotel will be opening in a few months so until then, here are updated photos on the progress of the rooms. When reservations are open we will update!

We unfortunately did not get open in January but we are for sure opening our doors in February. Hoping to have our soft open on Monday (17 February) and will announce a grand opening celebration date soon!

So sorry for the late update but we will not be throwing a New Year’s Party as previously planned. We had some unexpected delays in receiving some restaurant gear and won’t be able to get things together in time. We will open in January!

Did you know…

Each room in the Poets Tavern & Inn is inspired by a Portuguese poet or author? Who can guess which famous Portuguese poet inspired this room?

Work continues and we hope to have our website live and rooms available to book on Airbnb, Booking, and direct through our website in the next couple of weeks! We cannot start renting until next month but you will be able to make advanced booking for you or visiting friends and family in time for Christmas and New Years. Stay tuned!

It’s a beautiful day in Avô for working on the hotel room terraces. We still need a few more plants to fill in the space and to train the jasmine where to climb, but it’s coming along!

Still hoping for a Halloween or early November opening for both the hotel and the restaurant. Stay tuned!

14/10/2024

Another construction update! They are fixing the hotel terraces due to some water drainage issues today and then painting will continue inside over the next few days. Exterior paint will happen on the next sunny day. Then the projects on this building will be complete!

Our licenses are still not ready but we have our staff hired and getting the menu set. We will have vegetarian and vegan options! Hoping to open both the restaurant and hotel by the end of the month or early November. If we can open by October 31 we will have a Halloween party!

Coming Soon!

We have had a busy summer arranging licensing, cleaning, and doing repairs to get Poets Tavern & Inn up and running. We hope to open our doors very soon! Our goal is to open the doors to both the restaurant and the inn in October. Follow along and stay tuned.
