A Dona Viola é uma taberna de música ao vivo onde reinam a música tradicional açoriana e o fado.
“Dona Viola”, em homenagem ao nosso instrumento tradicional açoriano, a Viola da Terra. Contudo, também integramos nesta taberna o nosso instrumento tradicional português, a Guitarra Portuguesa. São estes os dois instrumentos predominantes nesta taberna, e que terá a oportunidade de ouvir ao vivo.
A noite é repartida por 3 sessões, onde cada sessão é constituída por 3 a 4 fados ou músicas (instrumentais ou cantadas) e intervalos de aprox. 30 minutos para degustar as nossas pequenas refeições e o vinho. Esta é uma taberna que respeita severamente a expressão: “Silêncio, que se vai cantar o fado”. Por isso, visite-nos e venha experienciar uma noite relaxante ao som da nossa tradição açoriana e/ou portuguesa.

Dona Viola is a live music tavern where traditional Azorean music and fado reign supreme.
‘Dona Viola’, in homage to our traditional Azorean instrument, the Viola da Terra (Guitar of the Land). In turn, we also integrate our traditional Portuguese instrument, the Guitarra Portuguesa. These are our two predominant instruments, which you will have the opportunity to hear live.
The evening is divided into 3 sessions, where each session consists of 3 to 4 fados, or general songs (instrumental or sung), and intervals of approximately 30 minutes to taste our light meals and wine. This is a tavern that strictly respects the expression: “Silence, fado is about to be sung”. So come and experience a relaxing evening to the sound of our Azorean and/or Portuguese traditions.
