Grenache, the grape variety that gives us our name.
Chef was born in Avignon, and it was while working at Restaurant Christian Etienne, attached to the Palais des Papes, that his passion for the wines of the nearby Châteauneuf-du-Pape region, located just 20 km away, truly began to grow.

Grenache is the grape variety responsible for making this region so celebrated around the world. Some of the most prestigious Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines ever made, such as those from the legendary Emmanuel Reynaud with Château Rayas (our chef’s favourite), are produced exclusively from Grenache. At the same time, it can also be blended with the other 17 grape varieties permitted in Châteauneuf-du-Pape within the same wine.

At our restaurant, you will find more than 70 references of Grenache, mainly from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region, but also from other regions and countries around the world.

O Chef Philippe Gelfi nasceu em Avignon, e foi enquanto trabalhava no Restaurant Christian Etienne, junto ao Palais des Papes, que a sua paixão pelos vinhos da região vizinha de Châteauneuf-du-Pape, localizada a apenas 20 km, começou verdadeiramente a crescer.

A Grenache é a casta responsável por tornar esta região tão celebrada em todo o mundo. Alguns dos mais prestigiados vinhos de Châteauneuf-du-Pape alguma vez produzidos, como os do lendário Emmanuel Reynaud no Château Rayas (o favorito do nosso chef), são elaborados exclusivamente a partir de Grenache. Ao mesmo tempo, esta casta também pode ser loteada com as outras 17 variedades autorizadas em Châteauneuf-du-Pape no mesmo vinho.
