After hearing the news that a school banned a child with autism from participating in a school trip, I feel the need to write this. There are boys and girls who are never invited to birthdays, for example. There are kids who want to be part of a team but aren’t selected because winning is seen as more important than including them. Children with special needs are not weird or strange; they just want what everyone else wants: to be accepted!
Can I ask a question? Is anyone willing to copy and paste this post on their wall without sharing, like I did?
