For 27 years, the Binangbang family has been serving affordable and delicious chicken and chicharon to the community. What started as a humble stall catering mainly to students and people looking for budget-friendly meals eventually grew through hard work, dedication, and the continued support of loyal customers.

As the demand steadily increased over the years, the family decided to establish a small carenderia where customers could comfortably dine and enjoy home-style meals. From being a simple family-run business, Alva’s gradually expanded from one location to another, especially in areas near schools where demand was consistently high. During its early years, most of the branches were concentrated within Tagbilaran City.

After nearly a decade of continuous growth, more people began expressing interest in bringing the Alva’s experience to their own communities. This growing demand eventually led the company to venture into franchising. Today, many of the Alva’s franchise branches are located outside Tagbilaran City, allowing more customers across different areas to enjoy the brand’s well-loved offerings.

Over the years, the business continued to expand, now operating a total of 23 company-owned outlets and 19 franchise-owned stores. Alongside Alva’s, the family also introduced affiliate brands such as Insiang’s Grill, known for its barbecue specialties and home-cooked meals, and St. Patrick’s, which offers roasted chicken, whole roasted pork, and pork belly.

More than the business growth, what truly makes the 27-year journey meaningful are the countless stories shared by customers throughout the years. For many students, Alva’s became part of their college life — a place where they could enjoy satisfying meals within their allowance. For hardworking employees, it became a reliable choice for budget-friendly dining while balancing daily expenses. For young couples and families, it became a place where simple meals created meaningful memories together.

These stories continue to inspire the Binangbang family to keep moving forward. After 27 years, Alva’s remains committed to serving affordable, delicious, and comforting meals — continuing its mission of being part of the everyday lives of the people it serves.
