We sincerely apologize to all of our customers, especially our regular and loyal customers, for why we have to close our doors every August through September. There are also some years when we have to close for a few days in June and July.
The reason is simple: if we continue operating during these months without making adjustments, we end up losing money because our operational expenses are simply too high. Even when compared to other stores outside the town center, we are still one of the better-selling businesses. However, our expenses are also significantly higher, which makes it difficult for us to stay profitable during these slower months.
One important thing to understand about our business is that our main market does not come from high foot traffic. Most of our customers find us through online marketing and word of mouth. While this has helped us grow tremendously, it simply isn’t enough to sustain our operations during the slower months, especially in August and September.
That’s why we continue to look for ways to keep the business running during this period. We’re working on reducing our workforce, adding new marketing strategies, minimizing unnecessary expenses, and making other adjustments to reduce the factors that put pressure on our operations.
We’re almost ready to open again this August. Stay tuned, and we can’t wait to serve you again!
