CSU Sanchez Mira’s CHM Gala Showcases Elegance and Hospitality Excellence

The College of Hospitality Management (CHM) of CSU Sanchez Mira held its much-anticipated CHM Gala at People's Gymnasium on December 13, 2024, marking the highlight of their 2-day MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) event.

The gala was organized by 4th-year CHM students as part of their major requirement in their MICE subject. The event showcased not only the students' skills in event planning and management but also their creativity and professionalism.

The program was attended by notable guests, Campus Executive Officer Dr. Rodel Francisco T. Alegado and the CHM faculty, led by Dean Ms. Angela B. Tuliao. Their presence added prestige to the occasion, which served as an opportunity to celebrate the hard work and dedication of CHM students.

The evening began with a red-carpet walk, where students and faculty dressed in their finest formal attire and showcased their elegance and poise. The program featured various activities, including an opening performance, a series of awards and recognitions.

Attendees were treated to a well-curated program filled with music, and a lively socialization session, allowing students to unwind and enjoy the culmination of their efforts.

The CHM Gala not only highlighted the students' ability to organize grand events but also reinforced their readiness to excel in the dynamic tourism and hospitality industry. It was a night to remember, filled with camaraderie, elegance, and celebration of future hospitality leaders.

CHM Seminar Highlights Career Pathways and Emerging Trends in Tourism and Hospitality

The College of Hospitality Management (CHM) of CSU Sanchez Mira successfully held a seminar titled "Charting the Future: Career Pathways and Emerging Trends in Tourism and Hospitality" at Sanchez Mira, People's Gym on December 13, 2024

The event was formally opened by the College Dean, Ms. Angela B. Tuliao, setting the tone for an engaging and insightful program. Highlights of the seminar included dynamic performances by selected CHM students, who captivated the audience with a flight attendant showmanship routine, a flight attendant parade, and an impressive bartending exhibition.

The seminar featured renowned speakers who brought valuable insights to the participants. Mr. Geo Patrick Buenavista delivered a comprehensive talk on emerging trends in the tourism and hospitality industry, while Ms. Mina Joyce Molina inspired the audience with her expertise on career pathways and opportunities in the field.

The event was attended by CHM students alongside selected students from FLVC’s Hospitality Management program. Participants actively engaged in the seminar, reflecting the students' eagerness to explore future prospects in the tourism and hospitality sectors.

The seminar concluded with closing remarks from the head organizer, Mr. Fren John Calantes, who expressed gratitude to everyone involved in making the event a success.

This initiative highlights CHM's commitment to equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the ever-evolving tourism and hospitality industry.
