Anghalo-Lubong Nangoloan Falls, also known as “Anghalo Falls,” is one of the natural treasures of San Felipe. According to local legend, the name “Anghalo” came from a giant who was said to have knelt on the rocks near the falls to drink water, leaving what appeared to be footprints on the stone surface.
Located amidst the rice fields and mountains of Barangay Rosete, the falls have long served as a place of relaxation and recreation for local residents. Over the years, it became a popular eco-tourism destination because of its cool, crystal-clear waters and the unique experience of reaching the site through a short trek or by riding a traditional carabao-drawn cart.
Today, Anghalo-Lubong Nangoloan Falls remains one of the proud attractions of San Felipe, showcasing the town’s natural beauty, culture, and local folklore.
