BACK TO SCHOOL, BACK-TO-BACK PROBLEMS:
“Solutions” Not Solving Old Problems
With days to go before School Year 2026-2027 opens, educators from Central Luzon, NCR, and CALABARZON including retired teachers air out their grievances through a press conference in Quezon City.
Public school teachers across the three regions brace themselves to tackle the practical problems of the appalling working conditions being experienced by public school teachers.
This is one of the issues to be raised by teachers group Action and Solidarity for the
Empowerment of Teachers (ASSERT) along with long-standing non-compliance of the Education Department with the provisions of the Magna Carta for Teachers.
Apparently, still with not enough budget, teachers make do with assuming various roles that goes beyond teaching their pupils.
In truth, teachers have always had the daunting task of “filling the gaps” in the education system. Action and Solidarity for the Empowerment of Teachers (ASSERT) will hold a PRESS CONFERENCE at 11AM, June 1, 2026, Monday at Kamuning Bakery Cafe, Quezon City. Teachers from different schools in Central Luzon, NCR, and CALABARZON would attend to this event.
Listen to unvarnished truths from the frontlines of our schools.
Frank questions are welcome.
Teachers shape the future of our nation—yet many now feel exhausted, unheard, & abandoned. Their voices deserve to be heard.
