Our coffee beans are never mass produced. They are roasted in small batches for freshness ☕

We also grind our coffee using a Flat Burr grinder, not with steel blade grinder which can affect the taste of the coffee beans :)

BARAKO-- a.k.a. the BRUTE

Barako coffee is a coffee varietal grown in the Philippines, particularly in the provinces of Batangas and Cavite.

It belongs to the species Coffea liberica. Barako takes its name from the Tagalog word for a male stud bull or wild boar, reflecting the fact that it’s a straightforward and powerful coffee.

Barako has a strong, bold flavor and fragrance reminiscent of anise seed.

Traditionally it’s served black or sweetened with muscovado sugar.

A blend unique to Casa Java. Our house specialty is a mixture of dark and medium roasted premium Arabica beans-- carefully crafted (and repeatedly tested) until we get the perfect balance of a great cup.
