Ever wondered where all the waste goes after a coastal cleanup?
Since 1986, Ocean Conservancy has coordinated the International Coastal Cleanup on the third Saturday of every September. Over the years, nearly 19 million volunteers in 150+ countries have collected more than 400+ million pounds of trash from coastlines and waterways.
That’s a lot of bags. So where does it all go?
Here in Panglao, part of the answer is our Recycling Shed at South Farm. Waste recovered from North Zen Villas, Oceanica Resort Panglao and South Palms Panglao MGallery goes to South Farm and becomes something useful.
A clean shoreline is only half the story. What happens to the waste afterward decides whether it comes back.

This weekend, join a cleanup and ask your hotel or favorite restaurant where its waste ends up.
