Cebu Coffee Solutions is running their Barista Basics Workshop here at SHU HA RI Cafe + Cowork this September, and we get to host it.

Sixteen lessons. Everything from where the bean grew to the moment you pour something that actually looks like a heart.

Day 1: Coffee Foundations
Story, Plant, Harvest, Process, Defects, Roasting, Storing Coffee, Sensory.
The whole farm to cup journey. You will finally know why one cup tastes sweet and the other tastes like regret.

Day 2: Barista Skills
Manual Brew, Elements, The Compass, Espresso, Espresso Machine, Espresso Recipe, Milk Steaming, Latte Art Basics.
Hands on the machine all day. Pulling shots, texturing milk, and pouring until it looks like something.
