To our dear Sanlud Café community,

We regret to inform everyone that Sanlud Café will remain closed today, July 29th, and tomorrow, July 30th for intensive general cleaning and restoration.

Following the recent heavy rains, our café suffered severe flooding once again. This has been a persistent issue that we have repeatedly brought to the attention of our property management. The lack of support and resolution continues to affect our operations, damage our furniture, and create significant inconvenience for both our team and our guests.

We apologize for this unexpected pause. We are using these two days to restore the area and do everything within our control to recover.

We hope to reopen and welcome you all back on July 31st. Thank you for your kindness and support as we navigate these challenges.

‼️ Statement on Respect and Safe Space

Our cafe has always been an LGBTQIA+‑affirming, zero‑tolerance safe space. Recently, two individuals were recorded in our shop making homophobic remarks, sexual gestures, and disrespecting our community. This behavior is harmful and has no place here.

To be absolutely clear:

• We do not tolerate hate speech, harassment, or discriminatory behavior of any kind.
• We reserve the right to refuse service and ask individuals to leave if they violate these standards.
• Our priority is the safety, dignity, and comfort of our customers and team. If you choose to be in our space, you agree to treat everyone with respect. If you cannot do that, you are not welcome here.

To our community: thank you for helping us keep this a place where all people—especially LGBTQIA+ folks—are safe, seen, and celebrated.
