We’ve been writing a lot lately... about our story, our people, and what it means to build a place where people feel they belong.
But today, we’re finding it difficult to write. Because there will never be enough words to describe what Khryztel meant to us.
Our Disney Princess. And if you knew her, you knew exactly why.
She had a warmth that didn't need an introduction. A kindness that felt natural. A humility that made you feel comfortable around her. And a beauty that wasn't simply something you saw, but something you felt in the way she treated people.
She was beautiful inside and out. For a season of her life, she was part of mc².
She stood behind our counter and served coffee. She laughed with people. She became a familiar face in a place that was slowly becoming a home for so many.
At the time, we thought we were simply sharing ordinary days. We didn't know we were making memories.
That is perhaps the hardest part of losing someone. The moments we wish we could hold onto forever rarely announce themselves while they're happening. We don't realize how precious they are until they're gone.
Tetet eventually left mc² to pursue another chapter of her life. She became a guidance counselor, continuing to do what seemed so natural to her... being there for people.
She had a life she was building, a profession she had worked for. There were tudents she was helping, a family she loved, and dreams that were still unfolding.
There should have been so much more... more mornings, more conversations, more birthdays, more plans, and more ordinary days that we would never have thought twice about.
But today, instead of trying to make sense of something that doesn't yet make sense, we want to remember her. Not simply for the tragedy that took her from us, but for the person she was while she was here.
Khryztel was kindness. She was warmth, she was humility... She was someone who made a little corner of the world softer simply by being in it.
And that is how we want to remember her.
Our Disney Princess.
Tetet, thank you for being part of mc².
Thank you for the moments, the smiles, the conversations, and the quiet goodness you left behind. We will carry those with us.
Our deepest prayers are with her family, Jude and his family, Tetet's friends, colleagues, students, and everyone whose life was touched by hers.
Some people pass through our lives for only a season. But somehow, they leave something behind that stays much longer.
Tet, you did. And you always will.
Rest well, our Disney Princess. 🤍
