We’ve been on the hunt for the perfect matcha powder for the cafe for quite some time now. 🍵

The goal has always been to find one that tastes really good, has the quality we want, and still lets us keep our matcha at a price point that makes sense. 🫶

And we think we found a good one! 🥹

Our Kasane Matcha, processed in Shizuoka, Japan, has that nice umami with a delicate sweetness. Definitely one of our faves so far.

We serve it with no sweetener. If you prefer yours sweeter, just let our barista know! 💙

Before any item on our menu reaches your table, we've already spent time at the market selecting ingredients by hand. We choose to buy in small batches so our produce stays fresh, our waste stays low, and our menu stays true to the quality we want to serve.

It's not the fastest way to do things, but it's the Recess way. 🐢

Thank you for supporting local businesses, local vendors, and the little choices that make a big difference. 💙

Plot twist: the garlic bread might steal the spotlight. 🤭🧄🍞

We've tweaked our pasta offering and added toasted garlic bread with our in-house garlic spread to every serving.

Tell us honestly, are you eating the garlic bread first or saving it for the creamy sauce? 👀👇
