Happy World Teachers’ Day to all our amazing teachers! 🍎📚💙

Most especially, to all the teachers of Ateneo de Iloilo–SMCS, thank you for everything that you do. Your dedication, patience, sacrifices, and love for teaching will forever be remembered and cherished.

To our former teachers in SMCS, thank you for teaching us not only the knowledge we learned from books and inside the classroom, but more importantly, the values that we continue to carry with us to this day. You taught us lessons that went far beyond academics—lessons about faith, service, compassion, humility, and becoming better individuals. 💙🥰🌹

Today, we also remember with love our beloved teachers who are now having their greatest classroom experience in heaven. 🕊Your presence may no longer be with us, but the lessons you taught, the lives you touched, and the memories you left behind will forever remain in our hearts.🤍

Thank you for all your sacrifices and for being our role models. Thank you for teaching us not only through books and classrooms, but by living out the values you wanted us to embrace.

You helped mold us not only as students, but as Santa Marians and Ateneans—Men and Women for Others, guided by faith and committed to service in humility. Your lessons continue to live through us.

We will always be grateful. We will always remember. And we will always carry the lessons you taught us wherever life takes us. 💙

Happy World Teachers’ Day!
To all our teachers, past and present—thank you for helping shape who we are today. 💐🎉👏

FEAST OF OUR GUARDIAN ANGELS 💙

Today, we celebrate the Feast of our Guardian Angels.

We give thanks to God for these heavenly companions who continually watch over us, protect us, guide our steps, and gently whisper in our hearts the right thing to do.

May our Guardian Angels continue to guide each member of our alumni community, our families, and our loved ones—leading us closer to God and inspiring us to live lives of faith, humility, and service.

May we always listen to the gentle promptings of our Guardian Angels and allow God’s grace to guide us in all that we do. May everything we do be for His greater glory. 🙏💙

🌹 WELCOME, OCTOBER! 🌹

As we begin the month of October, let us be reminded that this is a special month dedicated to our Blessed Mother Mary and the Holy Rosary.

May this month inspire us to draw closer to our Holy Mother, who continually guides us, protects us, and lovingly brings us closer to her Son, Jesus.

May we always seek refuge under her mantle of love and entrust our prayers and intentions to her.
Let us make time to pray the Holy Rosary—not only for our own intentions, but also for our families, our community, and the whole world.

🙏
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

🌹 Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us.
💙Santa Maria, Ina ng Diyos
Ipanalangin mo kami.
🙏 Santa Maria, Iloy sang Diyos,
Ig-ampo mo kami.

Ateneo de Iloilo – Santa Maria Catholic School met with officials of the Iloilo City Government and the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) on September 25, 2026, as part of the school's continuing efforts to strengthen coordination and ensure the safety and well-being of its community.

The coordination meeting was attended by Iloilo City Mayor Raisa S. Treñas and City Administrator Melchor U. Tan, together with Police Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo B. Jomuad Jr., ICPO Deputy City Director for Administration, and Police Major Shella Mae A. Sangrines, ICPO spokesperson and CCADU Assistant Chief.

The meeting followed concerns within the school community arising from the circulation of unverified and inaccurate information regarding an alleged threat. Based on information available to the school, no imminent threat to students and personnel had been identified. Nevertheless, Ateneo de Iloilo recognized the anxiety caused by the situation and implemented an early dismissal that afternoon in consideration of students' well-being.

Discussions centered on strengthening communication and coordination among the school, city government, and law enforcement, as well as reinforcing preventive security measures and preparedness protocols. The engagement forms part of Ateneo's continuing collaboration with local authorities to maintain a safe and secure learning environment.

The meeting also builds on broader coordination efforts by the ICPO with educational institutions in Iloilo City, including strengthened access controls, early reporting of potential threats, police visibility, and coordinated emergency response.

Ateneo de Iloilo continues to encourage members of the school community to rely on verified information and official school communications, particularly on matters concerning safety and security.
