Sometimes, starting therapy can feel a little intimidating. You might wonder what you’re supposed to say, whether you’re “struggling enough,” or if you even know how to explain what you’re feeling. ✨💚
But therapy isn’t about fixing something that’s wrong with you. You don’t have to come in with everything figured out, a perfect explanation, or even the right words.
Sometimes, you can simply start with, “I don’t know where to start.” And that’s okay. 🤍
Therapy can be a space to slow down, understand yourself better, process the things you’ve been carrying, and learn healthier ways to cope. It’s also okay if opening up takes time. Trust doesn’t have to happen in one conversation.
And if the first therapist you meet doesn’t feel like the right fit, that doesn’t mean therapy isn’t for you. Finding someone you feel comfortable with can take a little time too.
Most importantly, asking for support doesn’t make you weak. You deserve a space where you can talk without having to pretend that everything is okay.
So take your time. Start wherever you can. One honest sentence can be enough. 🌿☕
You don’t have to figure everything out alone.
Save this for the days when you need the reminder, and share it with someone who might need to hear it too. 💚☕
