Manga Toshokan (Cafe) is Davao's first cafe dedicated to book lovers! What does Manga Toshokan mean, and what do we offer? Far from the first image that usually comes to mind for those who are unfamiliar with Japanese words, Manga Toshokan is /not/ "manga tusukan", but rather simply put, "Comics Library" in Japanese. Choose from over hundreds of titles of manga to read while enjoying a cup of coff
ee or a meal! A few select titles of RAW manga, manhua, and manhwa are available for your enjoyment, too! Not really a fan of manga? We also have best-selling novels, reference books (mostly art), and other coffee table books you can browse through while you relax in our cozy cafe. Aside from sharing books from our personal collection, we also would like to encourage local artists and art enthusiasts to help foster Davao City's art scene by reaching out to others through monthly events such as live drawing sessions and tutorials, and to share their works by putting them on display! Musicians and literary artists are also invited to showcase their talents! Hopefully, through this endeavor, we can help the local arts community in Davao City flourish, so that in the future, Manga Toshokan will only be one of the many art hubs in town! Lastly, we will provide art materials and/or proxy-buying services to those who are interested! As a brick-and-mortar store, we guarantee you we are not fly-by-night sellers!
