We’re proud to be hosting this event!! 💕
Dear Teachers from Davao,
Are you a teacher who's passionate about the power of writing and reading books? Who believes in the capacity of language in supporting teenagers in their growth? Are you looking for ways to encourage your students to be more creative in expressing themselves and to be more critical and dynamic in their thinking? Are you worried that teens don't read that much anymore or that they only resort to AI in writing their compositions? Or do you have aspiring young writers who want to explore writing more or bookworms whom you wish to encourage even more?
If you answer yes to any of these questions, see you in our pilot community of teachers' workshop on Saturday, February 7, 2026? LIMITED SLOTS only! Last day of registration is January 31, 2026.

Teachers Get Lit! is a meeting-workshop for current part-time or full-time Grades 7–12 teachers of English/Language Arts, Literature, History, Social Sciences, or HUMMS from public or private schools in selected areas of Davao City. Participation is limited to 5–15 teachers only, on a first-come, first-served basis. The first 15 registrants will be notified.
The workshop will be facilitated by Tintin Ongpin-Montes, a writer, youth worker, literacy and social justice advocate, and Steiner–Waldorf upper school Literature teacher, education consultant, workshop facilitator, mentor, and board of trustees' member in various Steiner–Waldorf schools in the Philippines and across Asia. She is also the founder of the nineteen-year-old The Write Way Creative Writing Workshop for Teens.
This gathering aims to introduce a pilot community of teachers from Mintal, Tacunan, Tugbok, and Los Amigos areas in Davao to the Lit House Youth PH vision, goals, and core literacy programs. It also creates a space to reflect together on the real literacy needs and challenges of today’s Grades 7–12 students—reading, writing, comprehension, and beyond. Through short, engaging creative activities, we hope to spark inspiration, meaningful dialogue, and future collaboration.
