Second year na. And counting.

The English Fellows Organization of Cebu Normal University didn’t just come to visit North Café & Co. today — they came back. Because this is their second home.

I didn’t plan to become a mentor. But when young people keep showing up with their dreams, their stress, their laughs, and their questions — how can you NOT pour into them? Young people like them worth holding my Nursing career in the UK.

To my CNU family: North Café will keep the door open for you. And your Ate Di will Always be there when you needed me.

This is why we built this place. Not just for coffee. For community.

This matter was already closed months ago, and we had no intention of revisiting it.

However, because people are now spreading stories about what happened, we feel compelled to set the record straight.

After we were advised by OBO that our business could be subject to penalties if operations continued under the circumstances at that time, we sought clarification and attempted to work constructively with all parties involved. On January 16, 2026, we formally wrote the building owner in an effort to negotiate and better understand the issues raised by OBO.

The following day, January 17, 2026, our café was padlocked. We later learned that there are procedures governing such actions, but at the time we were simply trying to understand our situation and comply with the guidance we had received.

After several weeks, the matter was settled and closed. We moved on.

What we will not accept are false narratives claiming that our decisions were made because we could not afford the project or business. That is not what happened.

We have documentation, correspondence, timelines, and records that support our experience. We are not interested in attacking anyone or reopening a closed matter. We are only correcting misinformation.

If you were not directly involved and do not know the facts of what happened to us, please refrain from creating or spreading stories. Respectfully, the truth matters.
