Some of the most meaningful things we hold onto are not just recipes, but the love and memories written between the lines.

In this photo is a recipe box filled with typewritten cards from my Ninang Connie, our very own ‘Donya’, alongside her first cookbook. These are more than instructions; they are pieces of her, lovingly shared and passed on.”

More than an aunt, she was my second mother and culinary mentor, the heart behind Donya, and the one who first inspired me to bake for the people I love. She encouraged me to learn, to experiment, and to see food not just as nourishment, but as a way to bring people together.

From the very first eclair we baked side by side to what Donya has become today, her influence is in every step of this journey. Her guidance, her passion, and her quiet love live on in everything I make.

Thank you for everything, Ninang. Your love and legacy will always be a part of Donya 🧡
