STORY TIME. 🍊🍵🤎
Today, we had a little moment at the café that reminded us of something simple but important: never judge a book by its cover.
Pumasok si Sir sa café and quietly waited while looking at our menu board. After a while, he asked our cashier, “Tagpila ang Iced Orange Matcha?” 🍊🍵
Then he took out his little pouch of coins, carefully counted his money, and went back to the counter to order one Iced Orange Matcha.
Our cashier prepared his drink, and while watching him enjoy it, we decided to surprise him with a little something extra—a Ham & Mozzarella bread from our partner, Wooden Spoon. 🥪🤎
And grabe… the smile. 🥹✨
The kind of smile that makes you feel like somehow, you made someone's day a little brighter.
We actually often see Sir along the highway asking for spare change. And what surprised us even more is that, whenever we see him, he really does use the money to buy food. Today, instead of seeing him from afar, he chose to walk into our little café and buy something for himself.
He didn't ask us for anything. He simply checked his money, ordered what he could afford, and enjoyed his drink like every other customer.
And that moment reminded us:
Hindi lahat ng nakikita natin ay alam na natin ang buong story.
Don't judge a book by its cover. 📖🤎
Sometimes, all a person needs is a little dignity, kindness, and a place where they can simply enjoy a drink and feel like they belong.
Thank you, Sir, for visiting Persimmonay Café today. Your smile made our day, too. 🥹🍊🍵
And of course, thank You, Lord God, for giving us the heart to share, the blessings to give, and the wisdom to see beyond appearances. 🙏🏻✨
To our Ka-Persi, may we always choose kindness over judgment. 🤎
Small café, little gestures, big smiles. ✨
