What if acting training began not with exercises, but with a role?
For the next evolution of Acting 101 for Adults, we’re changing the way we work. From the very first session, each participant steps into a script, a character, and a story—and learns the craft of acting by actually doing it.
Along the way, we’ll draw from the fundamental principles and approaches of Stanislavski, Strasberg, Adler, Meisner, Eric Morris, etc. and other influential practitioners, along with the facilitator, KM Altomonte's, own but not as theories to memorize, but as tools to explore, test, and apply to the work in front of us.
We’ll look at listening, intention, action, imagination, character, presence, movement, emotional truth, and truthful response—always asking the same question: How does this help me play this role, in this scene, right now?
Because acting isn’t something you learn first and do later.
The doing is the learning.
No previous acting experience necessary. Just curiosity, commitment, and the willingness to work.
