On the first week of May, Purple PadThai Marisol had a meeting on how to reopen with just delivery service amid ECQ.

Then came along a message on page. "When will you open? We miss your food."

Last Friday, May 15, Purple PadThai Marisol reopened with delivery-only service, collaborating with our 3rd party food delivery partners: Mangan.ph and Papa.ph.

It was a warm reopening weekend. We missed you all.

It only takes one COVID-19 sick employee to send everyone home for self-quarantine and close down a small restaurant for two weeks, or so.

We are all on this fight together so we’ve got to look after each other. Let’s do our share to stop the spread of this virus and keep our business open by wearing mask, washing hands regularly, sanitizing and observing social distancing at work.

Lugud B***n has signed off.

It had been a deeply gratifying service. For three weeks, Purple PadThai and Oh! Live Green Restaurants collaborated with Lugud B***n as volunteer kitchen, preparing food for the medical and non-medical frontliners.

Meals were cooked, packed and readied for pick up by 11am to be delivered to different hospitals and checkpoints.

Each meal we prepared in the kitchen came with our good intentions. We may have never met the frontliners of:

Mabalacat District Hospital
The Medical City Clark
Sacred Heart Medical Center
Ospital Ning Angeles
St. Catherine of Alexandria Foundation and Medical Center
Angeles University Foundation Medical Center, among others

But we wish the food were not only nourishing, but provided them as well with hope to stay strong as they faced the havoc of COVID-19 pandemic in the frontline.
