Wickid Chicken is looking for motivated, energetic and hands-on Trainee Store Managers to join our Lae operations.
This is an opportunity for someone with hospitality management experience who wants to develop their skills, learn the Wickid Chicken systems and progress within a growing company.
🍗 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in managing the day-to-day operation of a busy fast-food outlet
• Supervise and lead store employees
• Maintain high customer service standards
• Monitor food quality, safety and cleanliness
• Assist with stock and inventory control
• Follow cash-handling and operational procedures
• Learn and implement Company Policies and Procedures
• Help maintain an efficient, organised and productive store
✅ ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum Year 12 education
• Previous experience in hospitality management or supervision
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Able to learn and implement Company procedures with minimal supervision
• Reliable, organised and willing to learn
• Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible with rostered hours, including mornings, evenings and weekends
• Clean and sober habits
⚠️ IMPORTANT
This is a physically demanding, hands-on position – NOT a 9-to-5 desk job.
Our managers are actively involved in store operations and are expected to lead from the floor.

🕒 Full-Time Position
Wickid Chicken is looking for an experienced, practical and hands-on Maintenance Manager to join our growing team in Lae.
This is a working management position responsible for keeping our stores, facilities and equipment operating safely, reliably and efficiently.
While electrical or refrigeration qualifications are essential, the successful applicant will oversee all areas of day-to-day maintenance and lead a small maintenance crew.
🔧 KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage day-to-day maintenance across our stores and facilities
• Lead and supervise the maintenance team
• Electrical fault finding, repairs and maintenance
• Refrigeration and cooling equipment maintenance
• General plumbing, carpentry and building repairs
• Preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
• Respond to breakdowns and urgent repairs
• Coordinate contractors when required
• Maintain accurate maintenance records
• Ensure safe, reliable and quality workmanship
✅ ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Certificate/trade qualification in Electrical or Refrigeration
• Proven experience in a similar maintenance role
• Strong electrical and refrigeration knowledge
• Practical general maintenance experience
• Good leadership and team management skills
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Commitment to safety, quality and reliability
• Clean and sober habits
Commercial kitchen or food-service equipment experience is highly regarded.
⚠️ IMPORTANT: This is not a desk-based management position. You will be expected to work hands-on alongside your team and be flexible when urgent breakdowns occur.
