Yesterday on the 23rd of July, PNG observed Remembrance Day, a time to honour those who served and sacrificed for our nation.

Milne Bay is more than a beautiful destination. It is home to the Battle of Milne Bay, fought between 25 August and 7 September 1942, where Allied forces secured the first major land victory over Japanese forces in the Pacific during the Second World War.

Today, the memorials and historic sites across Milne Bay stand as a reminder of the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of those who shaped our history.
