Today is our last day for the year, and what a huge year it’s been!

We’ll be back open again 8am Monday January 12th 2026.

Thank you to all our customers near and far for your continued support we appreciate it more than you know 🥰

To my staff, my back bone! Thank you endlessly I would not be where I am today without your help, lord knows how y’all put up with me and my antics 😂

Mum and bubs are doing great we’re in hospital for today, then hopefully off home in this yucky weather!

We can’t wait to bring bubba back up to Whangarei for visits 🥰

We are still impatiently waiting for our baby to arrive!

As such I have decided to close this week so I can be ready and waiting with mum and bubs.

We are changing coffee suppliers, as such our coffee machine will be closed from 1pm today.

We can’t wait to start our journey with a local roastery from right here in Whangarei, Turning Point Coffee!

Today marks 1 year of owning & operating my cafe - Civic Espresso

As I sit here and look back over the past 12 months I can’t help but feel extremely grateful, exhausted as hell but very grateful!

Grateful for my awesome staff & whanau who have tirelessly helped me in all ways imaginable, whether its working day to day or jumping in when I needed a hand without hesitation or just simply being in my corner and having my back always!

Grateful for the ongoing loyal support of our customers who come back time and time again, who brighten our days, who genuinely care about us like whanau! I have worked in this industry for 16 years and can honestly say I’ve never worked anywhere with such down to earth customers!

Thank you all for an absolutely fantastic 1st year of business, words cannot express the amount of appreciation I have! Here’s to many more 🥳
