This month we have a throwback to one of the earliest flavours - the Boston Cronut! We first made a Boston Bun inspired cronut way back in June 2021, after starting the cronut of the month in March of that year, and it was a nod to friends of ours in Boston who had suggested two of the monthly flavours at that stage. Thanks again Christina and Sarah 😁

We've got a touch of Boss Man Tim's nostalgia in the shops today! Did you know his baking career actually started with factory baking? Well, to be completely accurate it didn't even start with baking, it started with putting Looney Tunes stickers into bags of bread as a teenager, and then he stayed to do actual baking when the sticker promotion ended. That was in Wellington's Quality Bakers factory, and after a few years he transferred back to his home town of Whanganui and worked at the local Quality Bakers (formerly Cutelli's) until it closed. As well as bread, there were doughnuts made at the Whanganui plant that were dipped in either chocolate or hazelnut icing, but if they were being taken home by the staff they would sometimes get another dip in the second flavour, and The Boss Man has been feeling like that again lately. Lucky for us!😉 Double dipped Chocolate and Hazelnut Doughnuts - yes please! 😋
